Right Now I am…
[An answer to the age old question, what have you been up to lately. Updated March 16, 2017]
Right now I am…
– Wrapping up past projects (specifically the Operation Moto Dog Short Film & Book) and preparing for future projects (specifically learning farming techniques with the goal of off-grid homesteading).
– In a creative gathering phase spending hours sewing, painting, writing, woodworking, building and learning. Every week I pick up a stack of 20 or so books from the library. I’m trying to absorb as much knowledge as possible right now, knowing full-well I will soon enough jump into a new adventure. I’ve come to see that life, like nature, works in seasons. Winter was about pulling inward. Spring is on its way and so much is ready to burst through and bloom into something bright and beautiful.
– Listening to this song.
– Pondering this quote –
“Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom.”
-Viktor Frankl
– Reading this, this, and practicing this.
– Doing a lot of this:
Working on the computer, writing, polishing the OMD Short Film and completing numerous online projects. Sometimes it’s fun, sometimes I hope to never see a computer again.
– But at least I’m also getting to enjoy this:
I got baby chicks! 25 little fluffballs came in the mail and have already grown so much in just three weeks. I had a small backyard flock in Seattle and am really excited for these new feathered friends.
Until the next update, I hope you remember this:
