Today marked both the longest and farthest I’ve ever driven a motorcycle. I have to say it’s quite different than my past bike experience – riding passenger and tooling around town on a Vespa.

My forearms are pumped. I imagine I was gripping the handlebars in a less-than-relaxed fashion. Satisfyingly tired after a day of packing up, running last minute errands and hitting the road, I spent the last 20 minutes of the ride dreaming that Baylor would use his puppy paws to work massage magic on my knotted shoulders.

In reality he just stood awkwardly close to me while I fumbled in the dark to set up camp. If you know Baylor, you understand that he is a firm believer in being cozily tucked in for the night once the sun sets. To say he was unimpressed with my setup speed would be an understatement. Tent finally erected, Baylor dove in immediately and I quickly followed suit to stake my claim to a sizable portion of our new home.

One day down, many to come.[/x_text][/x_column][/x_row][/x_section][x_section style=”margin: 0px 0px 0px 0px; padding: 45px 0px 45px 0px; “][x_row inner_container=”true” marginless_columns=”false” bg_color=”” style=”margin: 0px auto 0px auto; padding: 0px 0px 0px 0px; “][x_column bg_color=”” type=”1/1″ style=”padding: 0px 0px 0px 0px; “][x_slider animation=”slide” slide_time=”7000″ slide_speed=”1000″ slideshow=”false” random=”false” control_nav=”false” prev_next_nav=”true” no_container=”false”][x_slide]Mallory Paige - Operation Moto Dog Day 1[/x_slide][x_slide]Rufio the Moto Sidecar[/x_slide][x_slide]Baylor the Dog[/x_slide][/x_slider][/x_column][/x_row][/x_section][x_section style=”margin: 0px 0px 0px 0px; padding: 45px 0px 45px 0px; “][x_row inner_container=”true” marginless_columns=”false” bg_color=”” style=”margin: 0px auto 0px auto; padding: 0px 0px 0px 0px; “][x_column bg_color=”” type=”1/1″ style=”padding: 0px 0px 0px 0px; “][x_feature_headline level=”h2″ looks_like=”h2″ icon=”motorcycle” class=”center-text “]Get Bonus Stories[/x_feature_headline][x_text class=”center-text “]Operation Moto DogEach week we’ll send you behind the scenes stories & pics from Operation Moto Dog.
