Burn It Down

March 1, 2015 | Choose Happy

Light the match.
Torch it up.
Burn it down.

So much in my life has changed over the past couple of years and while the foundation is the same, it’s time for an entirely new structure to emerge.

I originally built this site with a passion for bringing handmade back to life – sharing craft, home and kitchen tutorials with more than 25,000 readers every month. I still love making things and know the joy it can bring to life, but I’m not excited about creating DIY how-tos now.

There exists within me an insatiable desire to learn. To experience. To grow.

I want to know what it means “live the good life.” To understand how other people do it. To surround myself with passionate makers. Get close to the flame of excellence and warm myself in it’s glow. Walk to the edge of discomfort and boldly press up against it. Try new things. Fail. Succeed. Live fully on my terms.

And to do that completely I need a fresh start. A blank canvas.

So all that came before in this digital space has been erased.

White space. Opportunity. Possibility.

On to the next.
